The sixth edition of the contemporary art exhibition Les Extatiques took place from June 22 to October 1, 2023.
A contemplative journey under the theme of the 4 elements, from the esplanade of La Défense to the gardens of La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt.
ATC collaborated with the artist Julien salaud for 2 creations.
The silver porpoise: Stranded on the roof of La Seine Musicale, the silver porpoise, inspired by the species classified «near threatened» by the INPN, appears suspended, ready to join the Seine. Visible from afar, the work surprises and questions. The mixed technique used by the artist (inflatable, painting, carved wood) aims to create a certain ambiguity, and provoke a reflection on current environmental issues and the symbolic relationship between man and animal."
The falcon fire: "Large flaming inflatable falcon already attracts the eyes of many people who take some pictures of the animal. The work is one of the most popular with passers-by. It combines several techniques, inflatable structure, painting and sculpture. This giant bird is placed like a totem on the historical axis. Very surprising on this place of La Défense, the hawk spreads its majestic wings and makes rock the urban aesthetic codes.
Organized by Paris La Défense and the Hauts-de-Seine Department.
